Plot summary:

Kyon is an ordinary human being attending the first year of high school. While everyone in the class is introducing themselves, the turn falls onto a beautiful girl sitting behind him. She introduces herself as: Haruhi Suzumiya and promptly declares that she has no interest in humans and unless they’re aliens, time travelers or espers, they shouldn’t even bother talking to her.
However, Kyon does not heed her warning and talks to our Shoujo main character and unintentianally gives her an idea to start her own club: The SOS Brigade, whose function remains a huge mystery to Kyon for most of the anime. However it does change his life dramatically. With the formation of the SOS Brigade and the appearance of the colorful, weird and unbelievable characters, Kyon’s life is forever altered.
